Lele Gig Harbor

Calamari was delicious. Spring roll was ok? Not much flavor at all. Vietnamese Salad was terrible. The menu does not say there are onions and sautéed mushrooms in it. It ruined the whole dish. The sauce seemed watered down and had no taste. The pork was thin and had no flavor and was over cooked. Worst Vietnamese salad ever and I have had many of these in different restaurants. There was about 2 cups of cooked onion and mushroom. It was horrible tasting. I couldn’t eat it. I’m so disappointed, it seems like they are cutting corners and trying to save money.

I give this place 3.5 stars. They are a Vietnamese/Thai theme restaurant The place was nice. Had a lil fancy look to it. Service was good and we enjoyed the vibe. Lol even the bathroom was nice and had a mouth wash dispenser. I mean, what other restaurant has that lol. Tonight we order fried wontons, my lady got penang curry, and I got the wonton and asian BBQ noodle soup. One thing that surprised us, we notice they had a Korean dish on the menu which was japchae. Little confused why that was on there, doesn't make sense to be on the menu. I'm sorry, but the wontons were a huge let down. The price for them is 11.99, and you get fried wonton wrappers with a pea size something in it. The fact the wontons in my soup were actual wontons, but our appetizer was the wrapper was a big disappointment. The soup was decent. The curry was decent as well. Overall, the food was ok. Wasn't what we were hoping for. Considering we've eaten at a lot of Thai and Vietnamese restaurants. There are things I would change and improve on. Honestly, the first thing I would get rid of is the fried wontons.

This was the first time in this restaurant. As you enter you can already smell the delicious spice! The ambiance and lighting was soft and nice. It makes you feel quite comfortable! The food was OMG!!! DELICIOUS! we decided right at the first bite that this would be our Vietnamese go to place. It is fresh and there is so much food, you will have left overs. They also have a kid menu available.

Our waiter was great. He was so friendly and did a great job. The restaurant is beautiful and well-decorated. The food was good, but not great. It didn't taste bad, it just wasn't up to par with other Thai/Vietnamese restaurants. We ordered fried wontons for $12 and they were all wonton wraps and a pea size amount of filling (pictured below). The panang curry I ordered was okay the flavor wasn't as bold as I am used to and the veggies tasted plain. We also ordered wonton and Asian BBQ noodle soup. It was also okay, the wontons in the soup were filled and better than the disappointing appetizer. It's not a bad place to eat, just wasn't as good as we were hoping.

Had dinner at Lele in Gig Harbor tonight and the food was delicious. We shared a more than ample size appetizer, the Saigon Crepe and they accommodated the vegan option with well prepared tofu. The vegan Swimming Angel, with perfectly grilled tofu, spinach with creamy curry coconut sauce was soooooo good - generous portion but I ate it all! My friends ordered the Vietnamese salad bowl with prawns and The Thai Curry and they raved about their dishes!

We love this place but not today, Lele we love you. Today we walked in and the bartender throw down the menus and announced he would not be making cocktails, the sgin at the door had 2 drink specials. My wife told me she did not like the vibe / tone he used. So we left. We will be back and I will update this review when the service comes back up.

Seriously pick another spot. Pho and More across the way is so much better. This places customer service is really bad, their food isn't the best and the people there are rude. I ordered a Togo order from there. They said 15-20minutes. I got there to pick it up after 20minutes. While I was there people came in to eat, got there food and left before I got my food. I waited about 1 hour and 20minutes for my food. They were NOT busy either. A few tables inside and that's it. They didn't know what was going on, they kept telling me it will be another few minutes and the waiters were very unhelpful and almost dismissive with me as I am asking where my food is and how long is the wait. I will never be going back there because of the food being ok, the service being really bad and the waiters being rude. Again, go to Pho and More right across the intersection by Fred Meyer.
